Queerly ME is looking for more board members!
Queerly ME is looking for additional board members who are knowledgable about the LGBTQIA+ community and based in Maine.
Current Board of Directors’ focus areas include fundraising, strategical planning, nonprofit development, and sustainability.
Queerly ME has a working board as opposed to an advisory board. Board members are expected to engage in fundraising, outreach, and other board-led initiatives.
Board members must reside in Maine the majority of the year.
Board members must be competent in LGBTQIA+ terminology and LGBTQIA+ history.
Board members must attend board meetings which occur every third Thursday from 6:00PM - 7:30PM. These meetings are hybrid with remote and in-person options.
Board members are obligated to:
Consistently communicate and be present at board meetings.
Adequately participate in fundraising efforts.
Represent Queerly ME and engage in community outreach to promote Queerly ME’s mission.
Ensure that Queerly ME stays true to its mission and strategically plan for sustainability and longevity.

Have attended Queerly ME programs.
Have fundraising, business management, or financial management experience.
Are highly communicative, engaged, and open-minded to learning new skills.
Regularly participate in community activities and spaces in Maine.
