Join Queerly ME with LGBTQIA+ scientists Amanda Gavin & Rachel Hoven for a hike on Tumbledown’s Brook Trail to learn about how climate change is impacting seasonal lake ice and how to track these changes as a citizen scientist!
Starting at the Brook Trail parking lot at 10am on September 29th, we will gather and go over what to expect from our hike and our general guidelines. We will have water bottles, but please bring your own lunch and snacks for the end of the trail by the lake! The total hike time out and back will be roughly 3 hours and 30 minutes depending on the group's pace, not including our citizen science lesson at the lake. This trail is rated "hard" by all trails, and is 4.7 miles in length.
