Join Queerly ME and the Center For Wildlife to meet live animal ambassadors and learn about how Queerness exists in animal relationships and behaviors. We will gather on Monday, March 24th 5pm to 7:30pm at the Center for Wildlife: 375 Mountain Rd. Cape Neddick, ME 03902. Prior registration required to attend; spots limited.
Refreshments (alcoholic / non-alcoholic) and snacks will be provided. During our Queer Ecology presentation, participants will get to meet some of the very animals we are learning about LIVE. The Center For Wildlife will introduce their many animal ambassadors such as owls, falcons, snakes, turtles, bats, and more. After the presentation, participants are welcome to join us at the firepit for s’mores or explore the campus and visit the animal ambassadors at their homes.
All of the spaces we will have access to are ADA compliant. Please send a request for interpreters in advance if language accommodations are needed.
Keep in mind:
This event will take place outside, so please bundle up! If the weather is not cooperating, we will move into the indoor conference space and resume the same plan.
